Work is to take place on site on midweek days between the 15th and 22nd of August. The works are to replace the liner and thereby restore the wildlife pond to its former glory, and to repair wooden access step on the path down into Eyam Delph (well to the east of any climbing). There will be machinery and workmen on site on these dates but neither works, which are confined to specific areas of the quarry, should have any effect on climbing access. Some parking spaces may be obstructed for a period during the morning of the 15th. These are FIPL grant funded works to improve conservation and access, and will be carried out by PDNPA contractors with the permission of Natural England.

In reply to Access BMC (England):

It will be great to see water in the pond again. Last time I saw it filled there was a climbers dog on the loose paddling around and chomping down on frogs.

Probably better for everyone concerned if it stayed dry then tbh.
