The RSPB and the Derbyshire Wildlife Crime Officer will be at the meeting tonight discussing wildlife crime and their attempts (or otherwise) to stop it. The vast majority of wildlife crime in the Peak District is committed by gamekeepers, so hopefully the speakers will be able to give us lots of clues as to what to look out for and how to deal with anything we see whilst out on the moors.

Won't be able to make it but worth asking about the police/gamekeeper confrontation with a member of the public at Wyming Brook the other week.

That was certainly on my mind, although this is a different force. The culprits in that case were South Yorkshire Police.

Perhaps not so much the individual incident, but Derbyshire's (I presume?) modus operandi with such issues..
