Hello everyone,,,
I'm sure this sounds ridiculous, but hear me out! (Or don't)
I spent about an hour on Saturday and an hour on Sunday practicing bunny hops. On Sunday night and all of Monday I was feeling pretty strong delayed onset muscle soreness particularly in my lower back (same as I get from deadlifts) and a little bit in my forearms and upper back too. No unpleasant pain, just that post-workout soreness.
I've never really been a fan of the gym and I don't lift regularly, so I'm inclined to think that bunny hopping my way to fitness is the way to go. I'm sure the fact that I haven't been lifting is contributing to how easily those muscles were stressed during bunny hopping - but maybe I can add resistance by bunny hopping on progressively heavier bikes, or over higher obstacles.
Maybe before I know it I'll be bunny hopping over cars with a 60 lb weight in my bottle cage.
