Daniel Woods has been at the very top of the sport for over ten years. One of his first major ascents was the Green 45 project, which he named Jade. The grade has since settled at Font 8B+.

Since then, Woods has made notable repeats and first ascents of the world's hardest problems up to Font 8C+. His list of hard first ascents includes (and are by no means limited to) Hypnotized Minds (Font 8C+) in Rocky Mountain National Park, The Process (Font 8C+) in Bishop and the 3rd ascent of Off the Wagon Low (Font 8C+) in Val Bavona, Switzerland.
