I am a jack-of-all-trades, master of none! I am a "never-was" and not even a "has-been" but I am usually quite driven (more than most folk, but not quite as much as some of my partners!). I do enjoy the social side of mountaineering and have spent many a happy evening in the pub, following great days on the hill in summer or winter. I enjoy climbing immensely and I get "withdrawal symptoms" if I haven't recently had a good day out (preferably mountain rock climb or winter climb, ice or mixed)! Born 1971 (I'm always forgetting to update my profile age!). I have not recently improved my rock grade - it seems that Jaywalk on the Etive Slabs really is my one and only E2 and not an E1 (like my old guidebook said).

About My Photography
Not great, but some lucky shots from the Alps, Glencoe and a couple of winter climbs.

Anything Else We Should Know
I don't have an actual favourite rock type, but my joint favourites are Glencoe Rhyolite, Cairngorm Granite (lucky for me, I live amongst acres of the stuff!), Skye Gabbro and Northern Highlands Gneiss. I used to get out most weekends, but nowadays its about twice a month; unfortunately I can't say this on the correct profile entry! I usually go to the climbing wall weekly.
