The Role

This is a new and exciting role at Substation Brixton, ensuring the highest standards of coaching are met within our existing offering and also assisting us as we expand our range of available coaching. Currently we offer childrens parties, childrens sub-clubs, introductions to climbing, family taster sessions and schools groups and we would like to soon be offering adult improver sessions along with tailored training packages. We already have a number of in-house trained instructors that are eager to learn and the role would be heavily based around utilising our motivated team.

The Person

The successful individual will need to be a highly experienced climbing coach with a number of years in the industry, relevant qualifications and a positive attitude about spreading the joy climbing can bring. Ideally we are looking for someone with a particular emphasis/ passion for youth and child coaching as this is where the majority of our existing offering is focused. 

We know the huge mental and physical health benefits climbing can bring, however we also know it can be quite a daunting prospect for many people. We're looking for someone that can not only coach but will also encourage those perhaps less confident or lacking in physical ability to get on the wall ad give it a go regardless of ability, shape or size, promoting accessibility throughout Substation.
