This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team in a unique and dynamic extreme sports facility serving the North East of Scotland and beyond.  The Climbing Wall Manager will join the management team at Transition Extreme, a modern social enterprise and Scottish charity that uses urban sports to attract and engage the local youth population.

As Climbing Wall Manager you will be responsible for ensuring high safety standards within our climbing facilities, quality leadership and management of our climbing team and excellent levels of customer service.

You will be an experienced and knowledgeable climber, ideally with previous experience of Climbing Wall supervision or management.  You will be committed to high standards of customer service and engagement, with experience of risk assessment and preparation and implementation of safety procedures.

You will be personable with the ability to deliver and support high quality instruction to all ages and committed to developing the team to do likewise.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Experience of working in a public and customer-facing service
• Experienced climber ideally with CWDI, RCI or CWI qualification
• Experience coordinating multiple tasks and objectives
• Experience of implementing safety measures and procedures
• Experience of risk assessment

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of leading and managing staff
• Experience of a supervisory role in a climbing wall environment
• Knowledge of rescue procedures and Working at Height regulations
• Strong commercial mindset
• Knowledge of climbing best practice and current regulations
• Experience of effective information recording and management processes, related to routine maintenance processes.

Our opening hours are currently Wednesday to Friday Midday to 10pm and weekends 9.30am to 6pm.  Working hours will fall during these hours on a rota basis.
