This is a list of reasonably safe, partly or fully bolted multipich climbs in the Northern Limestone Alps between Bregenz and Vienna, both on Austrian and German territory. It includes both rebolted classics as well as modern multipitch sport, and all routes are in the mountains higher then the Ben, so take the necessary precautions. Minimum qualification was five pitches, and the list includes both halfday outings as well as serious full day adventures. The list is by no means complete and a work in progress. It is generally organised west to east.
Guidebooks: most of the Western half - west of Salzburg - is covered in Panico guidebooks. East, the landscape becomes more diverse. Schall Verlag has books on Dachstein, Lower Austria and Grazer Bergland, while Gesäuse ('Xeis') has its own guidebook.
Topos for a large number of routes are also availlable online through www.bergsteigen.com.
Enjoy.
