Rockfax Description
A more sustained left-hand start to y Gribin. It is a disjointed scramble and you will inevitably get wet feet in the bogs as you approach, but it remains popular nonetheless. Start from the base of the blunt ridge as for y Gribin, but walk across the shore of Llyn Bochlwyd to the base of the distinct rocky rib.
1) Pick your way up the rib as best you can, trying to make the most out of the broken rock steps. It is a case of following your nose but there is a distinct kink to the left on the section leading to the 'football pitch'. From here, continue up y Gribin. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
Begin at the SW corner of Llyn Bochlwyd. At first there's only the occasional rock step until the ridge rears up offering good scrambling with many different lines. The route emerges below the rocky part of Y Gribin.
