A major rock fall has occured - access to the lower tier, beyond Dawes of Perception slab is very restricted and has been fenced off to protect the public.
There is currently no access to the quarry and climbers should avoid it for the time being.
The quarry is within the Padarn Country Park, managed by Gwynedd Council.
Rockfax Description
The first real route in Vivian and quite an expedition. After several rockfalls it has fallen out of favour and doesn't see action these days.
1) 4c, 22m. Climb the right ridge of the front face of the Bobby's Groove tower. The ridge that joins this to the ledge is falling down! Belay off a sapling, then walk 25m up and right and belay on a flake between two small trees.
2) 5b, 25m. The smooth groove is climbed to the hanging railway - the bad step on the approach to Comes the Dervish.
3) 5b, 35m. Walk over to the start of Last Tango in Peris and head up this to the ledge on the arete. Then tackle the wide crack above, which is loose. © Rockfax
