Between the Scott Route and Bilfrost Buttress, this is the line followed in July 1978 during an initial attempt to repeat the former which was thwarted by a deterioration in the weather with accompanying running water and stonefall - including a helmet-splitting direct hit - and a growing realisation that the correct route was actually some distance further to the left. Included here to explain the presence of the resulting five abseil anchors, should anybody happen upon them. It's not known whether any subsequent attempt/ascent has started up the same line and continued to link into either of the neighbouring routes - either by accident or design.
