Walked in from Les Fontanettes passing after about 20 mins the refuge Le Haut de Marlens then ascended the Normal route (North West Ridge) graded Facile (Max!!) made summit in two hours first up that day shared it with chamois! Fantastic views of Mont Blanc. Descende via Arete Du Lac (East Ridge) a fairly exposed ridge of limestone (Via Ferretta warning sign near top) graded PD protected by a via ferreta cable if needed, though nothing more than a grade two scramble really. At bottom of ridge walk past the delightful Lac Du Charvin then ascend slightly to a small col before descending on good path then pick up original path back to Les Fontanettes nice round, well worth doing a reasonably fast 4 and a half hour trip.
