βeta: Good effort. If its the line I think it is then its definitely not a first ascent (as you correctly surmised). I've done it (probably about 20 years ago) and I'm pretty sure there were signs of previous passage then too. Its just so convenient that its likely been climbed loads of times. (I think my climbing partner on our ascent may have taken his son ( who wasn't even a twinkle in the eye when we climbed it) onto the route too. I suspect grade III is about right though. | βeta? | |
