Rockfax Description
From the vegetated ledge, boldly follow the groove up rightwards to a ledge on the rib; wires on right side of the ledge. Finish in a good position via ledges, the first mantleshelf being awkward. © Rockfax

βeta: A disappointing climb, despite being named after a great Graham Greene novel. There's little gear for the first section, but I'm still not sure why this is a VS 4b. I didn't find a single 4a move, let alone a 4b move - merely a plod up various rock shelves. I'd suggest this route is really a zero star VDiff and probably both easier and less serious than Gangway Climb at Castle Rock. Katie's Dilemma, The Singing Cowboy and Great White are much better routes. | βeta? | |
