Rockfax Description
A fine route that tackles the blank-looking wall and overlaps left of Aardvark's arete. The top wall has a series of thin cracks up it that become clogged with grass and may need cleaning - this can be done by abseiling to the base of the pitch from the finish of Aardvark.
1) 5a, 24m. The first pitch of Aardvark. The original line took the groove to the right at 4c but is now vegetated.
2) 5b, 45m. Climb to the step in the overhang and pull over it on to the wall above. Continue up leftwards past a peg, on small holds to better ones below the next overhang. Move left and then pull through the overhang and ascend to a flake. Move up then left into a thin crack-line and follow this to the top. © Rockfax

βeta: Someone has put a monumental effort cleaning this up, though they seem to have cleaned the top crack of lifeline instead of Voie Suisse if the lines in the 2002 Meirionnydd guide are correct. This seemed a more natural line, and as unfortunately we didn't really have time to clean the other crack due to Aardvark taking so long I finished as per the cleaned crack of Lifeline. This was excellent and the more obvious line, the upper crack of Voie Suisse is extremely vegetated. | βeta? | |
