No access problems. The area is part of the Eastern Edges SSSI designated for its assemblage of breeding birds - please make sure dogs are under control to protect birds and sheep: the grazier has reported losses.
Reason: Nesting Birds
Ring ouzel nest sites change quickly and frequently as they often have several broods each year with different nest sites for each brood. On site signage will be up around any of the nest sites where climbing may impact on the birds and this is always up to date and accurate.
Rockfax Description
The arete is climbed on its left side throughout and is unprotected. The start is the crux, and can be avoided on the right at 4a. © Rockfax

βeta: A point to take into acount for these votes is that Dave F and moomin lord have climbed B7 and are almost certainly very used to controlled jumps. This is quite exciting for a Severe leader. | βeta?

βeta: I agree with whoever said you can fall off the right safely all the way up, also the moves aren't that hard, HVD is about right | βeta?

βeta: Agree with Simon. S 4a is a daft grade for a route that's all over by the time you can place a runner. | βeta?

βeta: Can't possibly be S 4a. Maybe S 3c or HS 4a, I'd go for HS 3c. You can only jump to the right if you fall off in a controlled way, and unexpected slip would be nasty. | βeta?

βeta: If you fall off you can jump to the right to land up the hill. Not really that serious. | βeta?
