You don't expect to find cornices this big 100m above sea level! © Only a hill
A shattered, largely steep buttress situated above the Clachaig Inn, on the right-hand side of Clachaig Gully. The approach involves steep work through lush vegetation and rubble. The central portion of the buttress appears to be compact and fairly sound although is partially overhanging and serious. Possible easy lines appear to be very loose and mossy.
Also included is the small Quartzite crag directly above Banana Buttress. The defining features of this crag are a prominent corner and arete, topped by a steep wall. Several lines, possibly of quality, have been inspected although they appear to be difficult to protect.
Walk up from the Clachaig--about 5-10 minutes.
