Cribden Hill overlooks Rawtenstall and Haslingden. Towards the summit the stream falls over a series of short shaly sandstone steps which can provide an ice pitch in a hard winter.

Park on Haslingden Old Road, downhill from the ski slope (well signposted). Walk across pastures and follow the stream uphill. There is a distinctive radio mast below the Clough and several public footpaths in the immediate vicinity.
