Steep limestone cave on the northern outskirts of Gratkorn/Gratwein 12km north of Graz. The cave is quite impressive with a large number of hard powerful routes which demand a high level of fitness. Apart from one 6a warm up route, the routes in the lower sector range from 6c+ up to 8c; so not super friendly for beginners. Above the cave lies another sector "Oberes Zigeunerloch". The routes in the upper sector are far less steep and offer a good selection of routes in the range of 5c to 6c. In general the rock quality is very sound and the crag can get quite popular on Autumn days. With a 1 minute approach from the parking area it's easy to see why. The downside to this is that the surroundings can be quite loud with cars passing on the adjacent road quite frequently.
Park at the small parking area just accross the street from the cave. Also reachable by train/bus from Graz which both options requiring 10-15 minutes walking from the nearest station.
