The crag is in need of much love. It is green and over grown, but there is the posibility for some good, and possibly hard routes here I am sure. There are also so hard looking unclimbed hanging aretes. However, the bouldering hear, although not extensive, is superb, especially if combined with the nearby thorgill boulders further north or camp hill just over the moor toward castleton.
Parking is available at the top of chimney bank, where a walk north for around 15 minutes along the old railway line brings you to the moor above the crag, it is best to use a ordinace survey map to find it.
Need a reet good scrub, but possibly some ok routes? the bouldering is quite good! Sam Marks - 13/Nov/11 |
