Rocktype Quartzite
Altitude 360m a.s.l
Faces NW
A small slab of quartzite outcrops below the west ridge of Sgorr a Choise. It is criss crossed with insipient cracks and covered in crimps. Most of the lines have enough small gear. Fun technical climbing in the mid grades. Some of the routes suffer seepage which does dry out in a dry spell. This crag was developed by locals in June / July 2020.
From Ballachulish: Walk up past the school on the path to Glen Duror. The crag can be seen just below the low point on the west ridge of Sgorr a Chise. There is an obvious landslip below the crag. Once oposite this leave the path and cross the river Laroch (nice little Jaccuzzi pool). Heather bash up the slope to the crag. About 1hour 20 mins.
From Duror: Best to cycle up the forestry track and cross the Laroch at the same point as described above.
