Graded T4 in the SAC scale. A pleasant outing with various good views. Highly desirable to continue to the South Summit (3S).
Take the path from pt.932m and past the huts at pt.1368m. At the next hut, in the group around pt.1475m leave the marked paths and head slightly west of north to a tree-less gap on the skyline. join a wide path that comes in from the right on the way, follow this over a gate then head directly right up the lightly forested ridge, close to the crest, on path traces if you can find them. Above1600m the first rocks start poking through and one or two scrambling opportunities arise. As the ridge flattens out one can leave the crest and head freely for the start of the north ridge, which has some occasional light scrambling to reach the north summit.
