A prominant pillar of sandstone, rising around 10m from the Otter Hill area of Battersby Moor. The climbing is on compact sandstone, with good holds. The position is excellent.
Park as for Ingleby Incline/Turkey Nab. Walk up the forestry track and then cut north across the moor for around 200 metres. No Dogs.
Can be combined easily with Battersby or Turkey Nab but they don't compliment this great piece of rock. Perhaps it's the ideal way to start/end a day at Ingleby Incline, which can be reached by following the green-lane towards Bloworth Crossing. Dave Warburton - 04/Sep/11 |
