The Mirador de Cofria is small crag with some good easy routes and is popular with novices. The routes are generally slabby in nature and the climbing is technical. The routes are not that long which means you should be able to get the best out of the place in a single visit. The base of the crag also has some reasonable shade from the trees.
From the Hermida Gorge, head north towards Unquera and at the roundabout that can get you back onto the main A-8 north coast road. Take the first exit onto the N-634 and drive through Pesues. Just after the village, go around a sweeping bend and, 400m further on, turn right towards Munorrodero. Follow this road for 4.5km to a complex roundabout-style junction signed to 'Abanillas'. Go straight on but quickly turn right to Mirador de Cofria view point and parking.
