Loddefjord is located in Laksevåg, which is a suburb outside Bergen and so can be very popular. Big and cave-like, the wall is 60m high but only a few routes go to the full height. Most are overhanging. Note that several of the extensions require a 70m rope. It is possible to climb here even after it has been raining for weeks. Grades range from 6b to 8b, but it is best for 7a to 7c.
There is a vague path leading up through the woods and past the power station just north of the roundabout on the main road at the bottom of the estate.
Residents in the area have grown tired of the climbers parking in the housing estate. Cars that park in the private road will be towed away. Do not park near the top of the estate as it prevents cars turning. Parking is permitted on Bjorndalsbakken near the first right fork. Park along the wall, at least a vehicle length from mailboxes.
