700m. A great day out , a moderately difficult but long and fairly committing route, with fine views and some great rock scenery and terrain. The climb to the summit takes about 3 hours and after a short 10mtr steep section graded D, is sustained at about B/C, with some easy unprotected scrambling and steep paths in the upper reaches inbetween cabled pinnacles.
From the summit a path leads to the start of about 100mtrs of downclimbing again at B/C, until the signed Alpenklubscharte path is reached, this is descended westwards to the Schlickeralm in about 2 hrs. If you've missed the last lift down from the middle station at 5.00pm, another 1.5 hrs will get you down to the valley station. Total Descent 1700mtrs.
Although not technically difficult this is a long day out, 8 hours being a good time. Once on the route there are no escape routes other than down climbing, and there are no water sources, being South facing it can get warm in the sun with little shade on the ascent.
Topos are available on Bergsteigen or in the local Tourist information centres.
