The only extensive and good granite in Texas. There are some very good, long slab routes as well as crack, off width climbing and bouldering.
Approx 100 miles west of Austin, Texas. It's possible to camp there but you may end up sharing with noisy Boy Scouts. Nearby Oxford Ranch is supposedly a better option for climbers. Peak visiting months are March to May and September to December. During these months arrive early as authorities will close the park if it becomes too busy. The summer months will be too hot for comfortable climbing.
