300m. This scramble takes the obvious water cut cleft running from the lake to the top of Coumshingaun. As the name suggest it is situated in the South West corner of the coum.
There are a couple of difficult rock steps that can be tricky in Winter but the route offer plenty of escapes out of the gully along most of it's length.
It is an accessible alternative to the top for the experienced hill walker and avoids the obvious South and North ridge routes if in the mood for a calf burning challenge.
Bonus points for exiting through the hole in the turf.
