Some good clean sectors high above the valley near Cerdon. Bugey is a useful area for breaking a journey to the SE of France and there are a few crags here that can give a good day or two cragging.
Cerdon has five sectors - the R.most sector has the easiest routes and is directly above the track that you arrive on.
Longest routes are about 20 m high. Crag is shaded in the evening.
There are a couple of aid routes here (just R of Gaston Latex and just R of Oualou) and the starts of Oualou and Sur La Plafond La Plage are A0.
Also three trad routes up and R. of Sam et Mam
From Cerdon initially follow the road signposted to the Grotte De Cerdon to the N. Take a left along the D85a to Boche and Chamagnat. After about a K turn sharp R on to a track that ascends towards the ridge. Parking just before the track tops out. Sector 'Petit Cerdon' is adjacent to the track. The other four sectors are accessed by a path that goes up just after Sector Petit Cerdon.
