Climbs 31
Rocktype Grit (quarried)
Altitude 116m a.s.l
Faces NE
Once a mighty venue with soaring walls and several classics, notably the 37m Birchwood Crack; landfill has reduced the quarry to micro-route height. Boulderers have explored and documented here but the oppressive summer jungle growth of brambles, nettles and the lichenous northeast-facing walls mean that it's difficult to find the crag in good condition, if you can reach it.
Update 2022
A house has been built in the quarry entrance track and access is problematic at best. It might be possible to walk south on the A6 and head up a steep bank to access the back of the quarry. Good luck.
