This fantastic cave is situated on the beach near the town of Gaeta. Routes vary from 6b-8c but are mostly above 7a. The cave features a massive roof and many routes extend all the way to the lip givinig about 30m of fully horizontal climbing! There are some routes on the beach as well. The cave is situated behind a sand-dune and as such is well protected from bad weather.
During the season the beach is pretty busy and there is a shop that serves some paninins and drinks. The beach itself is not private (so camping is illegal) but the owner of the stairs will charge you 2 euros for using them! Off-season it's free and you can still use the toilets and a shower. The cave gets pretty busy in the winter.
About 3km north of Gaeta up the bendy road. Park on a small car park near the entrance. Go down the stairs (300 steps). The entrance to the cave is about 200m south from the little shop.
