Crag features

A collection of single pitch sea cliffs on the headland South of Cheese Bay. As with all the climbing on this stretch of coastline, the location is spectacular. On a clear day the veiw is unbroken from the mainland North of Skye all the way South to Rum and Canna. The Maddies as well as the coast of Harris and the Uists are visable as well.

A treasure trove of unclimbed rock lies between here and Rubha an Duine and beyond. There is also room for development of more climbing at Lec Na Hoe it's self.

Now marked on OS 1:50000 as Leac na Tobha ("Toe Slab")

Approach notes

From Lochmaddy, take the A865 towards Solas, then turn off to Lochportain. Before reaching Bàgh a Chàise (Cheese Bay), turn right and park at the end of the road (NF 971 732). Walk past an old white cottage at the end of the road, then turn right and follow the coastline for about 1km to reach the cliff (15-20min).
