Climbs 15
Rocktype Conglomerate
Altitude 228m a.s.l
Faces NE
Two main faces, one smaller and overhanging, the other twice the size and slabby - totaling 3 different places to set up TR. A few bolts left for leading, only placed every once in a while- kind of sketch. This crag has been used since the early 1930's when members of the Sierra Club would come here and train for climbs in the Sierra Nevadas. Rebolted with nice new Metolius bolts recently. Get here early on the weekends as there are ususally several climbing groups wanting to set up ropes. There are bathrooms at the park, but you don't want to use them.
Take the Buchanan street exit from 80 and head east, passing a round about, and up into the hills (Marin). Take a right on Regal Rd., cross Euclid, and the park is a block up on the right. Heading along Euclid from the centre of Berkeley, turning right on Regal also works.
Walk in from the obvious path on the uphill side (near the port-a-loo) to the bottom of all climbs. Head across the stone retaining wall from the basketball court to set up TRs.
