Crag features
The climbing walls of the Muttental are between 8 to 12 meters high and contain around 42 routes. Difficulties range from 4 to 9+ UIAA and the protection is pretty good. The sandstone is of superb quality.
No Access Issues
Climbing is regulated under a user agreement between the owner and the DAV Landesverband NRW. Within this agreement, only climbing at the sectors “Vordere Wand” and „Hauptwand” is allowed, all other walls are closed. The creation of new climbing routes, as well as the installation of modification of bolts or modification of the existing routes is forbidden. Please continue to follow the general etiquette to take your trash away and leave this place as tidy as it should be.
