Crag features

Occasionally referred to as the Round Rock, the Cattlewash boulder offers some great beach climbing primarily focused on its small sea-facing roof. For those who successfully top-out there is a bench situated at the top of the boulder allowing you to take in the view and the sun, whilst a swing and hammock have been left for those down below. This block has great potential with further development required for new lines, link-ups and eliminates, unfortunately, however, care must be taken during the top-out as many of the holds are very sharp and spikey whilst the lower holds occasionally fall victim to the ocean.

It should be noted on the East coast of Barbados the sea is much choppier than in the West and as such swimming is NOT advised.

Approach notes

Some roadside parking is available next to the boulder although take care not to park too close to the houses in the area.

The area is best approached using the H2 Highway to the North, or the H3 Highway to the South, both of which can be used to join onto Ermy Bourne Highway which the Cattlewash Boulder sits next to.
