Bishop Hill Quarry © petegunn

Crag features

An old limestone quarry consisting of a west facing, steep slabby wall and at the right hand end a taller overhanging buttress. A bit of effort and some fixed gear would result in some good low grade sport climbs.

Approach notes

From the A689 turn off into the village of Tindale. There is a parking circle with an open access sign and gate ( leading to Tindale Tarn).

Follow the main track downhill (locked gate) once across the stream go over the fence on the right and up the hill to gain the track which leads to the quarry,  passing a large limekiln. <10mins

No Access Issues

The quarry is on access land but is managed by the RSPB.
