Crag features

A secluded crag in a spectacular and beautiful situation above the sea. The local pod of dolphins frequently pass along the coast here. The area is part of Arrabida Nature Park and is very important for its plants and wildlife so due care should be taken.

Approach notes

A dirt track leaves the A379-1 at a wooden gate where it curves round from south to west as it reaches the coast from Azeitao. After a few metres on the dirt track take a path left heading almost due south through the thick scrub. After 200m or so the path starts to descend steeply and keep descending, taking another left turn down into a little valley and (usually) dry stream bed. Another path joins from further along the road but keep heading down alongside the stream until the upper cliffs come into view with the INICIAÇÃO sector to the left.

No Access Issues

No restrictions but a sensitive area that is important for nature conservation.
