Crag features

Located on the east side of Loch Scourst, there is a conspicuous promontory which forms the termination of the northwest ridge of Uisgneabhal Mòr. This is Sròn Scourst which hosts a number of fairly unsatisfactory routes on its Northwest Face.

Approach notes

Turn off the main A859 road to Stornoway at the Ceann an Ora Bridge and take the B887 towards Hushinish to the head of the deep sea loch inlet of Loch Mhiabhaig. There is parking either side of the bridge over the river flowing into the loch.

A good track runs along the floor of the glen to Sròn Scourst and on to Sròn Ard.
