Climbs 3
Rocktype Sandstone (hard)
Altitude 5m a.s.l
Faces NW
Small Tidal Geo offering short trad routes (~6 - 8m) on the North face and on a West facing sea stack. Hopefully more climbs to be added incoporating a brilliant overhang and natural rock arch feature.
Sea stack belaying area is flat and quickly covered with a rising tide. Back from the rock arch the tide comes in at a more predictable pace.
Park at North Ronaldsay Airport and follow track West past old Nissan Hanger. Walk West to the coast and follow the shore North for approx.200m. Climb wooden stile over the dyke and crag is immediately down to the left.
The field West of the Airfield can have aggressive Skuas and Artic Terns nesting during June and July, please be careful not to disturb these nests if possible. Thank you.
