Crag features

There are 2 areas. The "Classic" zone to the West of the crag, and the "New" zone around the corner to the East, which is still under some development. This is the oldest developed climbing crag in this area of Chile and is home to the first 7a route described in Chile: Cyclops. The crag is sheltered from the sun during the morning and has plenty of shade to retreat to when it's hot. The grades start at 5 and go up from there to 7a. All is sport and there is a multi pitch available: "Classic" goes at 5+ in 3 pitches (possible in 2 if you have 60m ropes). A lovely venue only 20 minutes drive out of Santiago.

Approach notes

From Santiago take the Ruta 70 East to Lo Curro but take junction for "Gran Via". Head up the hill to its highest point using "Via Roja", up past the Military club and beyond until you come to a fence. Park on the roadside (Northern side) and walk up the road to the right and see a painted gate. From here head left into the woodland up a steep, loose track for about 5-10 minutes and you arrive at the crag base. Here you will be stood below "Classic", the multi pitch route at the right hand end of the zone. The New zone is around to the right.

No Access Issues

Access is not an issue. The land is private but pedestrians are allowed and climbing is popular on this crag.
