Murrin Provincial Park is a small area 8km south of Squamish centred on Browning Lake. The climbing however, is spread over a much greater area with a dozen premier crags up to 35m high and many smaller ones. This is an interesting place to explore, with threads of trails radiating to quiet crags in every corner.
Murrin is divided into three areas: Britannia, South Murrin and North Murrin. Britannia is a large area, albeit with few climbs, centred in the extensive Valley of Shaddai. South Murrin describes climbs reached from the parking by walking along the lakeshore. North Murrin climbs are those reached directly uphill from the parking and in the Highway canyon itself.
There are also three seacliffs and extensive bouldering found here. All routes are described from left-to-right as in line with UKC, and thus the order of routes and crags may not always be identical to the guidebooks.
0min approach to 20min approaches with well signed posted trails. Stick to the trails!
Limited parking spaces due to popular picnic/lake area.
Do not park on the highway, you will be towed!
