A delightful coastal cragging area just outside Abersoch. With a gentle approach stroll, a superb sunny location, good and often non-tidal belay ledges, and many interesting single pitch routes up strong lines, this deserves to be as popular a choice for convenient mid-grade coastal cragging as Pen Trwyn and Holyhead Mountain.
The rock and finishes do require some care.
From the barriered carpark at Porth Ceriad. For the Charlies Point crags and Wylfa West at low tide, walk down to the beach and directly to the crags. For Wylfa West at high tide, take the pastoral stroll through fields to a sheepy promontory above the crags. Contour carefully down bottomless grass slopes to a good boulder spike above No Escape Route and abseil down the remaining grass and crag.
