Crag features

On the outskirts of the bustling ski resort of Valloire. There are two main sectors:

Poingt Ravier extends to the right of the start of the Poignt Ravier Via Feratta (surprise, surprise!) and has 26 easier routes listed here. The sector has been recently 'improved' with netting to catch any falling rocks from the via ferrata and the ground has been levelled and gravelled. This has produced 2-3m of unweathered rock that was previously underground; hence a lot of bouldery starts that feel way harder than the overall route grade. If you can get to the first bolt you're cooking.

Sector de la Chapelle is a more extensive area of rock and as well as a small slab of easy routes has longer routes (single and twin pitch) in the slightly higher grades. The guide describes it as 'tres agreable'.

Approach notes

Access is dead easy. Leave the main section of Valloire heading south to where the road crosses the river. Turn hard right and go down along the river. Ample roadside parking. Two minutes walk alongside the fence.
Follow signs the the via ferrata for that sector. For la Chapelle park down by the tennis club. Short walk along a path.

Just visited sector La Chapelle. Would agree that it is the better crag of the two. Will add some of the Chapelle routes here but might be better to split into two crags at some stage.

Arthur - nothing on la Chapelle mainly because I've never been up there :-)

Sector VF is a decent little crag if you're in the area (but not worth a long drive), some nice technical 6's to keep you occupied for a few hours. Sector de la Chapelle is better for longer and slightly harder climbs, just wondering why there's no info on the climbs there though? I onsighted a route which a local told me is a 6c but it didn't have a name at the bottom (most of the others did).
