from Sannox, ascend the nose of Suidhe Fhearglas and follow the ridge anti-clockwise over Caisteal Abhail, Cir Mhor, North Goatfell, Mullach Buidhe and Cioch na h-Oighe. There are numerous sections of scrambling, including the Witch's Step (avoiding the direct descent to the bealach which would be Diff), the descents from Caisteal Abhail (line not obvious from above) and Cir Mhor, and traversing Cioch na h-Oighe. Just as fine, if not better, in reverse, this is a contender for the best day's ridge walking in Britain. Would be worth 4 stars if that were available.

Teappleby 10 Sep Solo O/S Anti clockwise. Little bit if interesting routefinding at the witches tooth. Didn't do north goatfell and bastion and when down Glen Saxxon instead as rain was due and sky was very threatening. Right call, would have got very wet and cloud shot down. Instead, we were eating battered goods in a car park, much better.

Northern Mountain Monkey 29 Apr, 2016 Solo Excellent winter traverse with hoared up rock and frozen turf near the crest. Great outing at I/II depending on line and traversing around the Witch's step. Classic!

dregsy 4 May, 2012 - Done over 2 days due to the consumption of excessive alcohol the night before day 1, we did get a bit giddy, doing it over the 2 days allowed us to carry on from North Goat Fell to Goat Fell for another tick in a box. The most exhilarating 2 days walking and scrambling of my walking life. Will have to be repeated at some point.
