Rockfax Description
The flaky crack to the right gives slippery laybacking and is in need of a little TLC before it vanishes for ever! © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
Thanks to the hard work of some Peak climbers, this wall is now clean and would benefit from some traffic.

βeta: Great effort by those who have starting the cleaning however... Spent several hours cleaning this 3-7-23 as despite the cleaning effort it was nearly unclimbable due to dirt and moss inside the cracks and the face to the right - (see other comments in logbooks this route). However the top out on this and adjacent routes still needs cleaning and digging out, This work is ongoing sessions circa 1h each before work unless stated: 4-7-23, 5-7-23, 9-7-23, 11-7-23 & 2.5 hours after, 12-7-23 & hour after, 14-7-23: 5hours mostly in rain, 16-7-23: 2.5hours (9-11:30pm!), 17-7-23, 18-7-23 & 1hour after, 7-8-23, 8-8-23, 12-8-23 3hours, 13-8-23, 16-9-23, 19-9-23 2.5hours, 23-9-23 2 hours after climbing, 25-9-23, 26-9-23 & 26-9-23 40mins each, 1-10-23 2 hours after, 3-10-23 1.5hours before and after work, 18-10-23 2 hours post work... Until this work is complete this and other routes will have soil on it so are best avoided for the next few weeks until the work is complete and the routes are brushed down. If you are going to clean a route in a location like this you need to go to town on it a do a proper job to future proof it for several years not make it just about climbable which doesn't make it clean or appealing to get traffic!
