Joiners / Carpenters / Tilers / General Builders AW Rénovations (AWR) is looking for new members to join their talented team in creating beautiful alpine chalets in the French Alpes.

We currently have the following positions available:
Joiner / Carpenter
The job will involve but is not limited to:
- All elements of first and second fix joinery
- Framing
- Cladding
- Flooring
- Installing internal doors
- Window installation
- Balcony and terrace fabrication and installation
- Anticipating material requirements
- Bespoke furniture
Multi-skilled Tiler
The job will involve but is not limited to:
- Fitting of all types of tiles from mosaics to large format
- Mitred corners and resin joints
- Grouting
- Tanking
- Concrete screeds for italian showers
- Tiling for Italian showers
- Self leveling compound
- Silicone joints
Further to the above we are looking for someone with experience of, or a willingness to learn the following; plaster boarding, tape and jointing, plastering and painting, training can be provided as needed.
For both positions, we are looking for candidates with solid experience who can hit the ground running with the following qualities and qualifications:
- Full driving license
- Able to turn out high quality finishes at a good work rate
- Keen eye for detail and takes pride in their work
- Not phased by working in challenging weather conditions
- Versatile and happy to get stuck in with all aspects of building work when needed
- Enjoys training and upskilling others
- Keen to work as part of an international team
- Ideally have a basic working level of French
- EU nationality (Non EU citizens, please see the note below*)

Eligibility to work in France
*Non EU citizens require a working visa to live and work in France. We may be able to help secure a work permit. Proof of appropriate qualifications and experience are required in order to meet immigration requirements. You will also need to be working towards an A2 level of French.

A self employed joiner in UK is currently on about £25 to £30 an hour £18 to £22 on the cards.
So around 38 to 50k a year.

To add to the comments posted above, £22000-£30000 a year for a time served chippie is basically taking the mickey to put it politely.

Plus add in the fact renting in and around Cham is insane pricing, it's nowhere near enough. Another 20k and you'd be in the right bracket.
