Yeah, that sounded odd to me too. I guess they mean that the extremely impressive weight-saving comes hand-in-hand with a big durability hit. Even so, it's so much lighter than anything else out there designed for steep stuff that someone will buy them.

Edelrid keep coming out with really innovative products: the Jul belay devices, the Flycatcher ropes, this new rope, etc..
