I am looking for something a bit like the Pleasley Vale traverse near Mansfield but somewhere in the vicinity of Wigan/North Manchester - good sustained low level traverse that will get me back to the level I was at last summer ready for this summer so next time I am out with my sport-climbing buddy I can trounce him for a change and actually have some hope leading my first 6c+.

Pls help! Rock type - unimportant - length - unimportant just something to get a finely tuned pump on.

Would say Back Wall Traverse (f6B) but it's the wrong side of town.

Pond Traverse (f6A) is pretty motivating if the tide is in.

I'd want more than 6c+ if I trained there regularly!

If you were capable of doing Tree Traverse at Pleasley, you were already strong enough and fit enough to onsight 6c+ while putting the draws in.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but something else must be holding you back. Do you maybe have a problem with fear of falling or overgripping or bad clipping technique?

Identifying what the issue is and working on that will probably yield better results than more endurance training. Ideally, you could do both.

You'd probably get it if you trained there regularly!

Or perhaps it's just lack of climbing partners inside or out...it does happen you know
