Pester your family members to take you climbing lots, to a local wall or even outside if you live near some good spots.
If you can, pester them to take you on holiday to places where there is lots of stuff to climb.
If you live near a climbing wall you might be able to join a kids climbing club and they will teach you loads of stuff and it will be loads of fun.
If your school has a wall in the playground, you can make it more interesting by learning some games you can play on it with your friends.
Climbing with friends who are really into it too and helping each other is fun and a fast way to get much better.
A lot of teachers climb! You might even be able to pester one into setting up a climbing club. Figure out who's most likely. Talk to them with a gang of friends you've talked into the idea.
If you want to get really good try not to just get to the top, but also try and do it in the easiest way you can. Try different ways and see what works best. Learn to love that movement.
If you make mistakes, laugh and then learn from them, repeat this forever...
Footwork is everything! Don't just plonk them on, place them precisely. Aim for a single atom and place them on that spot silently like a ninja.
Watch some videos of pro climbers to inspire you. See how they can make really hard stuff look easy? That's all you've got to do! If you get good with your feet and body positions then you too will be able to climb like it's easy!
Bottom line – Enjoy it, Stick at it, Take advice from people about avoiding injuries and get good at pestering
