Folks, I use one of the above watches (Yes, I know its Old Hat..but it serves me well lol) Would/Should a very ordinary portable battery/power pack charge this watch up ? I have two portables but they both seem to struggle to charge the watch (Although they will charge my phone up ok). I have tried several Garmin leads but still no luck...the battery packs seem to put 1 0r 2 % into the watch and then give up. Is that normal, or do I have to buy a "special"battery/power pack from Garmin ??

My Forerunner 645 charges from my battery back.

The problem is that the draw from the watch is so low the battery back goes into power save mode. You need to charge something else simultaneously (assuming two outputs) to cheat it.
